The School of Social Work prepares students for professional social work service and leadership in local, national, and international domains. The School offers the BSSW and MSW degrees, both accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the Ph.D. in Social Welfare. The School is a member of the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education (GADE), an organization composed of the 74 social work/social welfare doctoral programs in the United States. The faculty collaborates with communities, conducts research, and disseminates knowledge in response to the needs of individuals and families living in diverse and multicultural urban environments. We lead the scholarly search for innovative, effective, and just solutions to human concerns.
